How much do permanent lights cost?

Install labor is $4.50/ft for the first 300 ft, $3.50/ft after that, $729 minimum, plus track (wood $0.80–$0.90/ft or metal $3.50/ft). Example: 150 ft with wood track is about $857 plus lights. Use your own lights or get ours at market price minus 10%.

How much do Christmas lights cost?

$7 per foot, $699 minimum, for the whole season: lights, install, free repairs, takedown and free storage. Example: a 150 ft roofline is $1,050.

What's the last day to book Christmas lights?

We book holiday installs through December 20. Permanent lights book year-round.

Do you need to visit my home for a quote?

Usually not. We quote from satellite imagery or your photos.

Our story

Hi, I'm David.

For two seasons I ran Chill Bear Lights on my own, hanging Christmas lights on homes around Sacramento, one roofline at a time.

This year I got married, and now my wife and I run the business together. It's the first thing we're building as a family.

Along the way, clients kept asking the same question: “Can't they just stay up?” So we added permanent smart lights, hidden in a track painted to match your trim, so your home glows every night without a ladder.

Today we do both. Permanent lights for homes that want to glow all year, and classic Christmas lights for the season: we hang them, fix them, take them down and store them.

We're a small team, and we run every job ourselves. When you call, you talk to us. When we install, we treat your home like our own new home: careful, clean and done right.
